Marcon Named a 2026 BurlingtonToday Reader Favourite

September 25, 2026

We’re proud to share that BurlingtonToday readers have named Marcon Construction a 2026 Reader Favourite in the General Contractors category. It’s the third time we’ve received this award, after wins in 2023 and 2025.

Awards like this don’t come from a panel of judges. They come from the people in our community, many of whom have trusted us with their homes. To everyone who took the time to vote: thank you. It means a lot to our whole team.

“We appreciate this vote of confidence, and that our clients feel that we did a good job,” says our owner, Brian Nordeman. “That means a lot to us.”

What’s behind it

Marcon has been building in Burlington since 1991, and a lot of what earns this kind of recognition has stayed the same since then:

  • The same faces on your job. Many of our crew have been with us for years, some for decades. You can meet the team here.
  • Trades we trust. We work with subcontractors we’ve relied on for years, including our flooring company and our electrician, who have both been with us since 1991.
  • No surprises. Every client gets a clear checklist before work begins, and any changes are written up and signed before we do them.
  • One team from start to finish. From the first plan to the final walkthrough, you deal with people who know your project.

Why we work this way

When Brian took over Marcon in 2015, he kept the approach the company was built on: make renovations clear and simple for the people living through them. That starts with who we bring onto your job. “We don’t just find the cheapest people out there. We use the people we know we can count on and work with as a team,” Brian says. “This way we have control over the quality. We want to stand behind our product.”

It’s also what makes the work worth doing. “It’s always nice to watch their vision become a reality,” he says. “It’s rewarding work.”

You can stay home while we work

Many of our clients live in their homes through the whole renovation, sometimes for months. That takes planning, a lot of communication, and trades who treat your home with respect. We’ll help you keep your everyday routine going as much as we can. If you’re wondering what that looks like week to week, here’s what to expect.

Our BurlingtonToday spotlight

After last year’s win, BurlingtonToday featured Marcon in a spotlight article about how we work, the trades we partner with, and the new ADU service we’ve added. As Brian put it, “We take it from the planning stage right up until the last coat of paint.”
